Access Engineering PLC (AEL) the foremost civil engineering company in Sri Lanka expanded the asphalt manufacturing plant presence by opening up the 5th plant in Kotadeniyawa on the 24th of December 2020 in order to enhance the greater efficiency in operations. The newly opened plant at Kotadeniyawa consists of 120 TPH capacity based machine that have produced over 30,000 metric tons by the end of 2021 January.

At present AEL asphalt plants are located in Kotadeniyawa, Mathugama, Kandy (Mailapitiya), Giriulla, and Vavuniya with a production output of around 400,000 metric tons of asphalt concrete every year. Along with the new plant addition the production volume will be enhanced towards catering the growing demand that will enable greater control over timely delivery and quality standards of the upcoming infrastructure projects.

The asphalt mixing plants which are established at various places of the country cater internal requirements as well as external party requirements while running at its full capacity. This allows AEL to engage in continuous investments in backward integration towards re-engineering a tomorrow’s heritage.
