CONSTRUCTION OF ELEVATED WATER TOWERS – BATTICALOA WATER SUPPLY PROJECT

The work scope included Construction & Completion of 6 Nos. Water Towers and Supply & Laying of Treated Water Transmission Pipe Lines of 37 Km. The capacities of water towers range from 750 m
3 to 2000 m
3, which are constructed using reinforced concrete. Out of 37 Km long pipelines, 35 Km were constructed using 200 mm – 400 mm diameter ductile iron pipes whereas the balance 2 Km, which travels through the lagoon was constructed using 400 mm diameter HDPE pipes. The works included installation of cast in-situ bored piles in causeway/marshy area, construction of building and electromechanical works (supply & installation).
