CONSTRUCTION OF ELEVATED WATER TOWERS – BATTICALOA WATER SUPPLY PROJECT

The work scope included Construction & Completion of 6 Nos. Water Towers and Supply & Laying of Treated Water Transmission Pipe Lines of 37 Km. The capacities of water towers range from 750 m3 to 2000 m3, which are constructed using reinforced concrete. Out of 37 Km long pipelines, 35 Km were constructed using 200 mm – 400 mm diameter ductile iron pipes whereas the balance 2 Km, which travels through the lagoon was constructed using 400 mm diameter HDPE pipes. The works included installation of cast in-situ bored piles in causeway/marshy area, construction of building and electromechanical works (supply & installation).
