Crossing Frontiers

  • Through SML, the Company invested in a 50% stake in SML Frontier Automotive (Private) Limited (subsequently renamed as Access Motors), the official agent for Jaguar and Land Rover in Sri Lanka.
  • Access Engineering formed a joint venture with Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Company Ltd of China (ZPMC) to commission, repair and maintain container handling equipment.
  • The Company obtained the OHSAS 18001:2007 Certification for Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series.
  • Access Engineering was awarded the contract for the Port Lae Tidal Basin Phase I development project in Papua New Guinea. For these efforts, AEL was recognized as the overall winner at the National Business Excellence Awards.
